GLOBAL INITIATIVE

The World Innovation and Change Management Institute (WICMI), which has a communication committee as part of its structure, made a decision on the initiative of general secretary Danijel Koletić, and under the chairmanship of Richard Linning, to launch a global initiative to create a document that aims to provide the business community, and to which the public relations industry belongs, guidelines so that the industry in practice could make its contribution to the global green transition and economy in accordance with the goals of sustainable development of the United Nations and the Paris Agreement.

ROMAN DECLARATION OF GREEN COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY EDITORIAL OVERSIGHT GROUP

Experts, individuals, representatives of international institutions that we are proud to present will prepare the “Roman Declaration of Green Communication Responsibility” so that this historic document provides support to the public relations industry, which for generations creates and manages communication processes through communication strategies and communication messages.

Richard Linning
is the founding president of the World Innovation and Change Management Institute.  A retired public affairs counsellor with global work experience, he is currently a board member of IRMI, an NGO working in the spheres of mass media, democratisation and reconciliation in Ukraine. A Past President and Fellow of the International Public Relations Association, President of CERP the Confederation Europennee des Relations Publique, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK he was also an Associate of the UN Network of University Communication Chairs ORBICOM.   He is recipient of an Honorary Fellowship of the Senate of the University of Bucharest in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of the free flow of information as a key component of the functioning of a democratic society.    Australian by birth, a dual British national he now resides with his wife Jacqueline in rural Lincolnshire, England with their three cats Caesar, Cleo and Nero. 

Andras Sztaniszlav
has started his career as a journalist, later worked for the Government Services as Comms Officer and then became a strategic communications advisor.

His consultancy service (PersonaR Communication Advisory Ltd) is on the market since 2005. Over the years he advised clients from corporate and not-for-profit sector, startups, company leaders. He also owns a small digital marketing agency operating in London and Budapest.  

He is a Chartered PR Practitioner, a Fellow of the CIPR; President of the Hungarian PR Association.He has been recognized by PRO.PR Global Award in 2018. He has been appointed as the Interim CEO for ICCO on 1 st January 2024.

As a consultant he mostly works with in-house comms teams, agencies, project teams on organisational developments, strategic planning, stakeholder management and creating organisational narratives.

Daniel Silberhorn
based in Frankfurt, Germany, is a passionate sustainability and communications professional with a global perspective across cultures, committed to making a positive impact.

Consulting leading national and international companies in strategic communications, ESG and sustainability transformation for 18 years, he serves on the International Public Relations Association’s (IPRA) board since 2021. Daniel Silberhorn has a keen interest in business’s role as a corporate citizen in society as well as the possibilities and responsibility of communications and the PR industry as a positive catalyst for urgently needed sustainability transformation. As founder and chair of IPRA’s climate change chapter, he helped develop IPRA’s climate change communications guidelines in 2022. These guidelines have since made their way into national PR associations worldwide and provide a basis for discussion and orientation for practitioners around the world.

He also teaches sustainability and communication at universities across Europe.

Jacqueline Purcell Ph.D. Candidate | FRSA | FCIPR | DTM | FHEA U.K.

Jacqueline Purcell holds post Grad Degrees in Education and Research. She i san  IPRA Board Member and UK and Ireland Chapter Chair ,  Golden World Awards Judge | International Leadership Consultant and Specialist Curriculum Designer,  CEO of Jasper Alliance London.

Jacqueline Purcell is a key-note speaker, a multi-award-winning high-performance educator, specialist trainer, and author who builds capacity for leadership confidence, behavior change and organizational development. She’s committed to the Commonwealth Charter, United Nations SDGs, and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. A licensed facilitator, and consultant with international skills experience working with Heads of State and United Nations Agencies on world projects across-the-sectors.

For establishing the first Toastmaster International public speaking academies in Iraq, she received a British Expertise Award for Outstanding International Leadership in 2015, followed by winning the IPRA Golden World Awards for the same project in 2021. A Distinguished Toastmaster and President of Grosvenor Square Speakers  in London, she led them to achieve Presidents’ Distinguished Award for the first time in their 31-year-old existence.

Jacqueline Purcell was awarded with the PRO PR  PR Globe Award in 2021. This award rewards individuals who, through their ethical work and knowledge, contribute to a better perception and positioning of the public relations profession at the local, national, and global level.

SERGIO VAZZOLER

 51 years old, Sergio is Co-founder of Amapola Società Benefit.

Specialist in corporate, environmental and sustainability communication.

Trainer and speaker.

Professional member of FERPiItalian Federation of Public Relations since 2001, he is currently coordinator of the national commission on responsible communication (18th Goal Agenda 2030).

He is the editor, together with Stefano Martello, of “Where the facts do not arrive – A reasoned and passionate anthology of environmental communication” (Pacini Editore, 2024) and of the previous “The missing link. Environmental communication to the test of ecological transition” (Pacini Editore, 2022) and “White Paper on Environmental Communication” (Pacini Editore, 2020).

Sergio is one of the creators of the Forum on Good Communication, an event dedicated to responsible communication and sustainability, the first edition of which took place on 10 November 2023 as part of ECOMONDO, the international trade fair dedicated to the environment.

Already active in the field of journalism and PR during his university years, his professional career began in 1998 in “Red Hot Peppers“, a communication and public affairs company. In 2000 he joined “MR & Associati Comunicazione“, a company specializing in corporate and political communication and in 2005 he became a partner.

In 2011 he joined Amapola, a Benefit Company specializing in sustainability communication with offices in Milan, Turin and Alessandria, of which he is now a partner and director. Awarded in 2022 with the “Inspiring PR” for the project “Circular Economy and Community“.

ASLIHAN GUVEN

Aslihan is a media and communications professional with extensive experience in global public relations, growth-oriented marketing & communications, and public diplomacy.

Previously, she helped launch Turkey’s first English-language international news platform, TRT World in 2015. She has taken various operational and managerial roles within the network during her 7 years with the company. She served both at Turkish and Malaysian diplomatic missions in Kuala Lumpur and Ankara acting as a bridge between the two countries to ensure communication and cooperation.
Aslihan earned her B.A. and M.A. in Communication from the International Islamic University, Malaysia. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Marmara University focusing on public relations in foreign policy.

A Post Graduate in Law and Public Administration and the first Indian to achieve Doctorate in Public Relations. 37 years experience in mass communication as a Cartoonist, Feature Writer, Radio/TV newsreader and a Public Relations practitioner.

Valuable experience in the Fortune Global 500 company Indian Oil Corporation, in the area of Public Relations, branding, event Management, Advertising, Publicity, Image Building, Internal & External communication, Administration , security , estate , Ministry coordination, CSR and Community Welfare.

Mary Beth West
FPRCA, serves as senior strategist for U.S.-based Fletcher Marketing PR. In this role, she delivers competitive impact for organizations through the power of strategic management, communications, and relationship-building – helping executive teams build credible, trust-driven reputations with diverse stakeholders who are mission-critical to financial success. 

A past PRO PR GLOBE Award recipient, Mary Beth’s commentary has been included in The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, the USA Today Network, Business Insider, PRweek, PR News, Strategic, and other business publications. For two years (2021 and 2022), she has been listed by global media analytics firm Commetric as one of the world’s top Twitter Influencers on the topic of public relations measurement.

In recent years, Mary Beth has built an international reputation for change-agentry – particularly in matters related to taking a public stand for communications and business ethics, non-profit financial disclosures, anti-retaliation, and inclusion of women and professionals of color in board-level and executive leadership.

She is the signature donor to the Washington, D.C.-based Ethics & Compliance Initiative’s ESG (Environmental / Social / Governance)-focused Business Integrity Library – a searchable database of ESG reports and best-practices from more than 150 of the most significant companies in the world.

Massimo Castellano

His work experience starts with the first positions in companies operating in the tourism sector, followed by the transition to Alitalia Group, where he mainly took care of regulation for air navigation, institutional relations, community policies, territorial marketing, business development, communication and legal affairs. After being appointed to several managerial positions in the Group, he leaves the Company and takes care of communication and business development initiatives, both in Italy and abroad, on behalf of several companies such as Gruppo Navale Lauro, Tirrenia Società di Navigazione, Darwin Airlines, Consulta Handling Group, MSC Crociere, B Cube Group (formerly Argol/Villanova), FEDARLINEA, High Quality Italy, cooperating with the companies’ top management. Founder of a number of non-profit organizations, of which he constantly supported growth and establishment, he promoted and managed strategic projects sponsored and supported also by the European Union and UNEP; in this framework, it was possible to realize large public events, communication campaigns which fostered the development and the implementations of innovative policies concerning blue economy, sustainable tourism, innovation and territorial marketing; the international project Blue Planet Economy Expo Forum was created thanks to these experiences, in strictly cooperation with Fiera Roma.

Dana Oancea, Ph.D., is the President of the Forum for International Communications, a Romanian foundation that has been organizing the Romanian PR Award since 2003. With over 20 years of experience in public relations, both in Romania and internationally, Dana seamlessly blends her professional life in communications with her research interests, which encompass ethics in PR, corporate social responsibility, and lobbying. She earned her Ph.D. degree from Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität in München.

Dana has conducted numerous interviews and authored hundreds of articles in her capacity as the editor-in-chief for PR Romania, an online resources portal that she established in 2009. In 2017, she undertook the coordination and editing of “The Golden Book of Romanian Public Relations,” a publication released in Romania by Cărturesti. Furthermore, Dana is a co-founding member of the Romanian Diversity Charter.

Dana firmly believes in the essential combination of professionalism and ethics, considering it to be the powerful formula for achieving success in the field of PR.

Danijel Koletić
Multiple award-winner, the first president of PRCA Southeast Europe, He has been connecting the public relations profession for 23 years through the PRO PR conference, the founder of the only award in the world for which, in addition to former winners, nominations are also made by the winners of the 4 world associations:. He started his career in 1991, in the positions of executive producer of Eurovision winner Rajko Dujmić, director of the Split festival, GOL Croatian championship, , and first director of the London School of Public Relations in Croatia. Today, he deals with consulting in the field of strategic communication, he works all around the world.

Under the motto less is more, his agency office focuses on quality, he is  the main consultant of the Harvard Medical School for Europe, the Middle East, North Africa.

In the business portfolio, he solved cases of crisis management, Pfizer, Hipp, Telemach, Bayer pharmaceutical company, Poli Salama, Slavonski brod grad on auction.

His success is based on the support of his wife, passion, love, vision, and planning risk.
